It's Christmas Card Time!!!!

Here's another design. I'm hoping to get three more out.

Christmas is right around the corner and I'm sure most of you are gathering up ideas for that perfect Christmas card to send to all your dear family and friends. Well, I have created the perfect solution to make that idea reality and save you all the hassle. I will be designing about five different Christmas card layouts, because they are "pre-designed" the cost is only $10 for the design. All you have to do is pick the design you want, email me the photos and information that will be going on the card and Voila your done! I'll email the finished design back to you and all you have to do is have the photo card printed. It's fast, simple, and dirt cheap!!! This was our 2007 Christmas Card. I created this card and then uploaded it and ordered it through a company called VistaPrint. The neat thing about this card is that it printed double sided, so our families message was directly on the back.

This was a 4.5x6.5 postcard.

How Announce It! by Natalie came to be.

Hannah was born two months ago and I was feeling extremely overwhelmed by the thought of having to take care of twin 4 1/2 yr. olds as well as a new baby. As a new mother to three children I was struggling to get into the swing of things and create a schedule. On top of that I new the importance of getting those new baby pictures taken and mailing out announcements to our several family members and friends...and I'm talking about at least 100 announcements here. With the twins it was pretty easy. They were in the NICU for five weeks, so when I would come home at night I started making the cards, by the time they were home all the cards were done and I just had to insert the pictures and then mail them out...easy. That was not the case with Hannah. I have had no time at all. After 5 weeks going by I decided I was just going to order the announcements online because I just did not have any time to put one together.

Well, that idea immediately flew out the window when I saw the cost...

I checked several websites and found several designs I liked, but the average cost was anywhere from $1.19 to $2.00 per card. Are you kidding me? Specifically, the one I wanted for Hannah was $2.00 per card. There was no way I was going to pay $200 in birth announcements. So I decided I would re-create the photo card in my own design program. I was stunned when only a few hours later the announcement was done and looked just as beautiful, if not better, than the one I found online.

I quickly uploaded my design into Costco.com photo center and ordered my photo announcements. I designed a 5x5 card so it will be printed on a 5x7 (and then I'll trim the edges) but each photo card is $0.39. So for a few hours of work I was able to get my 100 photo announcements for $39.00 plus a little tax and shipping and handling.

I was so proud of myself that night. I stayed up almost all night thinking of all the amazing designs I could create and all the many friends I could help save tons of money by providing this service to. A few days later Announce It! by Natalie came to be.

I know there are several of you out there that are just as talented, if not more, than I am; but I also know most of us don't really have the time to sit down and create that special announcement or invitation for our special someone or you may not have the design program to do it yourself...and that's were I come in. I can originally create a photo announcement or invitation or re-create one you find online for less. Read the "How to Order" tab to the right to find out all the details.
